We provide below some suggested wording if you choose to include in your Will a bequest to our charitable foundation.

The following clauses are provided to assist you in making a bequest in your Will to Atharvanic Kriya Foundation (AKF).

It is recommended that a copy of your signed Will be sent, with contact details of your legal representative, to AKF for record keeping.

General Clause Gift of $xxx

I give to the Atharvanic Kriya Foundation (ABN: 30 347 836 532) the sum of $xxxxx for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the proper officer shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor who shall not be bound to see its application. If the gift to the Atharvanic Kriya Foundation (ABN: 30 347 836 532) cannot take effect, then I request my Executors to pay the gift to the charitable organisation or organisation in Australia which my Executors at their absolute discretion consider most nearly fulfils the objects I intend to benefit.

General Clause of $xxx gift plus CPI index

1.1 I give to the Atharvanic Kriya Foundation (ABN: 30 347 836 532) the sum of $xxxxx (the ‘Sum’) for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the proper officer shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor who shall not be bound to see to its application.

1.2 The Sum must be increased by a CPI index formula (Sydney All Groups of if it is not in existence another similar index at my Executor’s discretion) as follows namely it must be increased but not decreased by an amount represented by A where A+(B/C) x D; and where: B= the CPI for the quarter ending immediately before the date of my death; C= the CPI for the quarter immediately preceding the date of this Will; and D= $10,000

1.3 If the gift to the Atharvanic Kriya Foundation (ABN: 30 347 836 532) cannot take effect, then I request my Executors to pay the gift to the charitable organisation or organisation in Australia which my Executors at their absolute discretion consider most nearly fulfils the object I intend to benefit.

I give to the Atharvanic Kriya Foundation (ABN: 30 347 836 532) the [INSERT FORM THE EXAMPLES LISTED BELOW] for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the proper officer shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor who shall not be bound to see to its application. If the gift to the Atharvanic Kriya Foundation (ABN: 30 347 836 532) cannot take effect, then I request my Executors to pay the gift to the charitable organisation or organisation in Australia which my Executors at their absolute discretion consider most nearly fulfils the object I intend to benefit.

Specific (non-general purpose) gift

I give to the Atharvanic Kriya Foundation (ABN: 30 347 836 532) the sum of $xxxxxx for the purpose of [INSERT SPECIFIED PURPOSES].

I declare that if the specified purpose is not a purpose that can be carries out by the Atharvanic Kriya Foundation (ABN: 30 347 836 532) my Executors may at their absolute discretion vary the purpose to on they consider most nearly fulfils the purpose.

I declare that the receipt of the proper office shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor who shall not be bound to see its application. If the gift to the Atharvanic Kriya Foundation (ABN: 30 347 836 532) cannot take effect, then I further request my Executors to pay the gift to the charitable organisation or organisation in Australia which my Executors at their absolute discretion consider most nearly fulfils the objects I intend to benefit.
